Japan Astrobiology Network

The Japan Astrobiology Network (hereafter the JAN) consists of organizations related to and individuals interested in astrobiology. The JAN was established at the Astrobiology Workshop held in December 2008, and started in January 2009. The JAN aims to facilitate communication between the members, and to organize symposia and workshops related to astrobiology. The management of the JAN will be based on consensus among the member organizations and individuals. The JAN intends to be a member of an international astrobiology network, when it has been established. The panel members of the JAN will handle daily management of the JAN. Annual assembly of the JAN shall be held during the Japan Geoscience Union Annual Meeting. Alternative or additional assemblies may be held independently, annually or biannually.
