研究内容

動物プランクトンの環境応答機構の解析

ミジンコ類は淡水圏において、藻類の主要な捕食者として水棲動物の食物連鎖の底辺を構成する重要な役割を果たしている。また水質の変化に敏感なため、環境指標生物として、また農薬などの毒性試験生物として広く用いられている。そこでミジンコ類が低酸素や内分泌撹乱化学物質などに応答して示す遺伝子発現の制御、単為生殖から両生生殖への転換の機構について分子レベルの解析を行っている。
